Sue Hansen, Founder, SCCAC
Southern California College Athletic Consulting (SCCAC) was founded in 2007 in Santa Monica, California, by Sue Hansen. As a college athlete at the University of Florida, Sue was captain of the tennis team. In 2005 and 2007, she guided her two daughters as they successfully navigated the complex college athletic recruiting process, leading to full athletic scholarships to the University of Virginia and Stanford. This experience provided the realization that college athletic recruiting and admissions “special skills applicant” identification can be a daunting process that requires advance and systematic planning coupled with proper time-lines.
The competition for athletic scholarships and athletic support in college admissions is overwhelming. The greatest obstacle facing potential student-athletes and their parents is obtaining accurate, experienced, and honest information about the many components of collegiate athletics. SCCAC will assist the prospective student-athlete in developing a carefully designed approach and provide effective strategies for negotiating the college search.
